6 dead in suspected terrorist attack and stabbing in Tel Aviv during Iranian missile strike

At least six people were killed and nine others injured in a stabbing and shooting attack in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Tuesday evening, according to the Israeli police spokesperson unit.

The authorities suspect terror as the motive for the incident. The two suspected attackers were killed, the unit said.

According to police, the two suspected terrorists began killing on the light rail and continued on foot before being killed with private firearms by the Municipal Security Patrol and citizens present.

Large police forces are on site and are carrying out extensive searches for further threats.

The incident occurred on Yerushalayim Street in Tel Aviv.

The attack occurred shortly before Iran launched a large missile into Israel. According to the Israeli Defense Forces, about 180 rockets were fired at several targets in Israel.

Most of the rockets were intercepted, but “several hits were detected and the damage is currently being assessed,” an Israeli security official said.
