Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner LIVE: China Open result and final score from the blockbuster final of the Beijing Open

Carlos Alcaraz took the final seven points in a row, winning a thrilling decider tiebreak and beating young rival Jannik Sinner. He won the China Open title while ending the world No. 1's 15-game winning streak.

Alcaraz improved his duel with Sinner to 6-4 with his third straight victory, winning 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 in three hours and 20 minutes in a blockus final in Beijing.

Alcaraz, who came into the final with an eight-game winning streak, got off to a better start and took the first set 5-3. But Sinner dug in and made the Spaniard stay alive. Sinner secured three set points, including two in the tiebreak, and thus increased his level.

Sinner and Alcaraz saved break points midway through the second set – Alcaraz did this during an epic 15-minute match that proved decisive as he equalized by a set. Thanks to Alcaraz's incredible defense, the 21-year-old forced the decision.

And the momentum continued in the third set as Alcaraz made the early breakthrough. Sinner fought off the double break and Alcaraz failed to serve him as the Italian broke back and forced a match tiebreak.

Alcaraz trailed 3-0 in the tiebreak with Sinner close to serving before the Spaniard staged a stunning comeback fueled by attacking tennis to win the next seven points and clinch his first title since Wimbledon.

“He could win with two people. I could win with two people. He was able to win in three rounds. It was a really close game. Jannik has shown once again that with the level he plays, he is the best player in the world, at least for me.

“It's unbelievable. He is the best. It was high quality. I had my chances in the first set but didn't make it, but I'm proud of the way I built the match, the way I did everything.

“I never lost hope, but I had to give it my all. I scored great points to make it 3-3 and then decided to go for it.”
