Episode 2 of The Penguin introduces Sofia Falcone's psychiatrist and the director tells us why they didn't choose the scarecrow

One of the coolest aspects of the HBO series The penguin So it runs parallel to Matt Reeves' Batman universe without having to be directly mentioned in every other scene. Maybe we'll see it Student of Paul Danos Riddler handing out leaflets and of course the flooding at the end The Batman continues to plague Gotham. But The Penguin clearly wants to tell its own story of Oz Cobb (Colin Farrell), a player in the ongoing gang wars creates problems for itselfand for the Falcones, in the series premiere.

Episode 2 of The penguin delved a little deeper into the fascinating character of Sofia Falcone, masterfully played by Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs). Sofia, like many others, is caught up in the power vacuum created by the murder of her father, crime boss Carmine Falcone (played in the series). by Mark Strong). But Episode 2 also hinted at Sofia's past and her stay in Arkham for a series of murders that earned her the nickname “The Executioner.” In this episode we meet Sofia's doctor Julian Rush. And the way he hypnotizes her made me think of another psychologist in the DC Universe: Dr. Jonathan Crane, also known as The Scarecrow.
