Lady Gaga teases that she might have a courthouse wedding with Chinese takeout

Lady Gaga describes in detail her fiancé's sweet nature Michael Polansky suggested to her.

Gaga, 38, revealed this on the Tuesday, October 1 episode Jimmy Kimmel Live that Polansky, 46, asked her if he could propose to her before popping the question. The “Die With a Smile” singer previously revealed that Polansky proposed to her after they went rock climbing together.

“We went on a trip together and went climbing. “We've gone rock climbing before, which was a lot of fun,” Gaga explained. “He didn’t propose to me at the top. We climbed to the top, looked around and took a few photos.”

Gaga continued, “We went back downstairs and just went back into the room. It was very Michael to ask me if he could ask me. He wanted to know if it was okay to propose before he proposed. I said, 'Yes! It's so okay!'”

Kimmel also asked Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – if she was planning a big wedding in Italy, leading to a surprise revelation.

“I don't know what we're going to do. “We’re not quite sure yet,” Gaga said. “We actually talk a lot about just going to a courthouse as a couple and (then) ordering Chinese food. But knowing me, it could also be like a circus with unicorns.”

Gaga and Polansky eventually met at the Napster co-founder's house Sean Parker's 40th birthday party in Los Angeles in December 2019.

“I got invited and said, 'I wonder if Michael will be there,' and my mom said yes, and so I went to the party and kept asking about him, and finally he came to me and we chatted for the three of us hours,” Gaga said. “We had the most amazing conversation.”
