Live updates

Pre-game updates

ILBs (10:31 a.m.): Pregame pair reps with No. 1 defensemen Cody Barton and Justin Strnad at ILB.

Levelle Bailey and Kristian Welch are No. 2.

Strnad hasn't played a defensive snap since 2021, but that should change today. – Gabriel

Broncos inactive today (9:33 a.m.):

  • QB Zach Wilson (3rd QB)
  • S JL Skinner (ankle)
  • RB Blake Watson
  • WR Devaughn Vele
  • TE Lucas Krull
  • CB Kris Abrams-Draine
  • DL Eyioma Uwazurike

There are no surprises here, although it is worth noting that Vele has been inactive since Week 1. He had a rib injury but took full part in training over the last two weeks. His eight catches (albeit for 39 yards) in Week 1 seem like a long time ago. – Gabriel

Goodbye (8:56 a.m.): Alex Singleton completed his normal field walk with his teammates, his right knee fitted with a large brace as he awaited surgery. He met former Jets coach Nathaniel Hackett, who always runs across fields or steps before games. Hackett hugged Singleton tightly. Hackett is a hugger. – Renck

Good morning from rainy New Jersey and MetLife Stadium (8:55 a.m.): The Broncos are on the field for all early warmups. More than two hours before kickoff, I saw former Jets QB Zach Wilson chatting with former Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett down on the field.

The weather suggests a hot afternoon, but we'll see. These two teams also put the most pressure on opposing quarterbacks early in the season. Anyone who earns more today will be in good shape. – Gabriel

Scouting report (8:55 a.m.): Check out how the Broncos stack up against the Jets in Ryan McFadden's scouting report.
