Davante Adams is reportedly drawing interest from several teams around the league, including the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the Jets and Cowboys are among those “monitoring” the situation and have “reached out to the Raiders.” Russini also noted that Las Vegas is “in no rush to do anything.”

Russini's report comes after NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday that the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver has told the team he wants to be traded. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler also added some context to the situation on Wednesday.

“Here’s what I know about Adams and the Raiders – things escalated quickly,” Fowler wrote. “When I checked with several people on the team early Tuesday, they knew nothing of any trade request or preference. Still, several teams have had Adams on their trade radar in recent days.”

The connection to the Jets is obvious, as Adams previously played with quarterback Aaron Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers. Trading for him would also give the AFC East team two game-changing wide receivers, with Garrett Wilson also on the roster.

Dallas would also have quite a one-two punch at receiver if they traded for Adams, as CeeDee Lamb is one of the league's best at the position. Opposing defenses likely wouldn't be able to double up on both offenses, giving Dak Prescott plenty of opportunities to improve his passing numbers.

However, the Cowboys, Jets or any other team will have to part with some assets if they want to acquire one of the best receivers in the league.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders told teams they would only “consider” moving Adams if they were offered a second-round pick and additional compensation. Jonathan Jones According to CBS Sports, teams would also have to discuss a revised contract with Adams if they were to trade for him.

The 31-year-old is signed through the 2026 season, but his contract calls for a base salary of $35.6 million for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. There is also potential for an exit after this season.

The Adams situation has made a lot of headlines lately, as he didn't exactly deny that he might be leaving Las Vegas during an appearance on Tuesday's “Las Vegas.” Up & Adams show:

Additionally, head coach Antonio Pierce seemed to like a social media post that suggested the wide receiver might call it quits with the Raiders:

Regardless of the contract situation, Adams is someone who can raise the ceiling for a team in need of receivers for the rest of the season.

His resume includes six Pro Bowl selections and three first-team All-Pro nominations. He also led the league in touchdown receptions in 2020 (18) and again in 2022 (14) and has five seasons with more than 1,100 receiving yards.

Adams missed Las Vegas' Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns with a hamstring injury, but had a solid performance in the first three games with 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Maybe his next catch will come for another team.
